Solar Plane Completes 24 Hour Flight
A solar powered airplane just completed a 24 hour long flight, proving that a sun-fueled aircraft can store up enough energy in the daytime to keep it aloft through the night. This is the culmination of seven years of planning. Future plans include a nonstop solar powered flight around the world. Before this, I’m sure they thought the pilots would need to follow the sunlight around the world, taking turns popping natural sleep aids until they reached their destinations. After this 24 hour test flight, we can clearly see that this is not the case. Who would have guessed it would be a Swiss team that pioneered continuous solar powered flight? Now if only they can do the same thing with cars.
