Life without cable has been less than enthusing. I dont mind not watching television, but when I do, I see the most rediculous commercials from our local affliates. Did you know that there is a person that lives in my town that will drive you to get weight loss surgery Mexico for free? FOR FREE?! I mean, what is he getting out of the deal from the Mexican doctors that he might be holding out on us. Granted we are close to Mexico, being that has alot to do with why NEW Mexico got its name, but I think that there has to be other reasonings behind him accepting a task like that. Not to mention that he is on call 24 hours a day. The Ad said so! “Day or night, call to schedule your free ride now!” Ugh, I dont know about you people, but it would make me crazy if my phone rang at 3 in the morning cause someone wants me to give them a free ride to Mexico in two days without any incintive. And youd have to pay me a TON for that.
I don’t know, maybe if there was something worth while to do while I was down there getting cheap liposuction or something, it would be worth it. But im not sure I want to have discounted surgery. You usually get what you pay for and well I dont think I like the idea of someone that is willing to slice me open for less than 2 grand messing up. Because when and if they do, youre screwed because they don’t have enough money for you to sue them.
Now, im not saying that going to another country to have a procedure done always turns out badly, in fact, alot of them don’t. Some of the best doctors I have ever been to have been from another country and practiced medicine there. But when you always hear about people dying over some cheap cosmetic surgery, its enough to make you leery. Or even worse than dying, being permantly scarred or mutilated by it. Have you ever seen Oprah? I mean, doesn’t she profile people like that? You know, it just scares me that I’ll end up being the girl that they open up and stuff drugs in without my knowledge.
