I’ve been thinking about wrought iron window covers and home security alarms. I’ve also been thinking about keeping some stuff in a storage unit.

Well, you know what I say? Worrying works; 90% of the stuff I worry about never happens.

I sell stuff on craigslist. Spammers have started to use the numbers in craigs, and texting people. At first, I thought it would be funny to text back “You’ve just signed up for cat facts!” (google it for the rest). But I realize that the texts are probably coming from a computer, not sent by hand. If I obscure my phone number or put it in a pic, then people will think I’m being shady (trying to keep them from searching for my other listings). So, I just have to put up with the occasional spam text, I suppose.

After a trip to Google, I found out that I can report spam through my service provider…but it’s a bit of a hassle.

I had this crazy idea that I wanted to do crafts with bamboo. Not just any bamboo- I want big, 3 inch wide bamboo. I bought some mini-greenhouse-type things, and I ordered a hundred bamboo seeds. And then I started researching planting them. It took little time for me to realize that I had done things in the wrong order… It turns out that bamboo takes years to reach maturity, and bamboo does not grow quickly until it is a few years old.

So I started shopping for live bamboo locally. So far, I haven’t had a lot of luck.
