Open Doors is a puzzle game. Maybe this is what draftsmen do when they are bored? Anyway, your goal is to move your square, opening doors, until you reach the ‘X’. Like many games, this one starts out easy and gets progressively harder. It’s a fun little diversion!

Boxhead: Zombie Wars

Boxhead: Zombie Wars is a cross between the music video ‘Thriller’ and the movie ‘Rambo’. You are the Rambo character. Your goal: survive. Survive by killing.

As you can see, I had trapped myself into a circle of barricades. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Little did I know that the next wave of zombies would have flame throwers.

Yeah- they mix it up a bit in this zombie kill-fest. You’ll get zombies, mummies and even Satan himself! Weapon upgrades come at regular intervals, and they include exploding barrels, turrets and miniguns!

This is an awesome game.

Mansion: Impossible is a fun little game about buying and selling homes. Your goal is to buy the biggest house in the neighborhood in as little time as possible. This means buying and selling houses as quickly and profitably as possible. It seems to me that the best strategy in this game is just to buy a house as soon as it goes on the market, and sell it when the price slows or drops. The homes farthest away from the mansion are the cheapest, and you’ll work your way up to the fancier homes as you build your wealth. The game is pretty fun, but replayability is pretty low, unless you find that you just have to beat your previous score.

Here’s a free home brewed flash game called Caviar Rush. You control the caviar. No, this isn’t some sort of crazed caviar kingpin wealth building simulator. It’s more like the classic fish game where you start out as a small fish and grow as you eat. But there’s a twist: when your ball of caviar collides with other caviar, you expand- when you collide with fish, you lose caviar balls. The bigger the fish, the more caviar you lose. This is a decent game, but I like the fish in a pond game type better. Still, for being original and being playable, the game gets a passing grade.

Tower Defense games are very popular. So it comes as no surprise that comedy central has put together a tower defense game for Reno 911. Unfortunately, I have to say that this is a mediocre offering at best. The game is very difficult. Adding to the frustration, you get no clue as to what stats are upgraded when you upgrade. When trying to sell towers, it is easy to accidentally upgrade a nearby tower instead. Meaning you just wasted money. Overall, this game is kinda frustrating, and below average at best.

Asteroid Adventure.. just think of it as asteroids 2. This is yet another reworked classic. This time, it’s asteroids. This time your mission is to destroy everything! That includes asteroids, UFOs and odd looking centipede like things that are really annoying! Kill Kill kill!

Pac-Xon is a wonderful blend of two classic arcade games: Qix and Pac-Man. The resemblance in gameplay is much closer to Qix, while the graphics are more like pac-man.

This game is awesomely fun- you are pac man, who is bent on capturing territory on the map. Can’t let those greedy ghosts have it! Your goal is to control over 80% of the map. And not get eaten by the ghosts (or whatever it is that the ghosts do that is so harmful to our hero).

Play Pac-Xon Here – you can choose to play it normal size, full screen, and you can even download it!

Follis is a physics game where you have to guide the ball by placing blocks. You can drag and drop the blocks, and rotate the triangles by pressing a while dragging the piece. It’s not a bad game. I played up to level 11 before I got bored. The background music is pretty cool.

Orbox is a puzzle game that is fun to play, but not totally original. It is a logic game where you must reach a goal or destroy all of the timer boxes. You must find the successful route to the end, or we will surely die! Okay, I made up that last part, but it could happen.
