This little kitty looks like a furry superhero. It takes a creative mind, some skill with box cutters and a very tolerant kitty to pull this off. I used to be pretty good at crafting stuff with cardboard. I know it isn’t a very widely used medium, but I’ve made some decent stuff with boxes, box cutters, scissors and hot glue. I made a light tent for photographing stuff… I also made a kitty playhouse.
This year, I bought my first “prosumer” grade sound card, and it has been a terrible experience. It was an E-mu soundcard, and it’s been nothing but trouble- doesn’t play well with my recording software, requires rebooting on a regular basis. So, I finally had it, and I’m buying a new one… M-audio delta 44 is on the way and my old E-mu is up for grabs. I’ve been thinking about a new synth, too… maybe that would be the way to give my hobby a little kick-start.
I know darn well that I’ve written about this before, but I will never, ever, not in a million years, use Qwest for internet, phone, cable, nothing. They’ll stole $400 from my mom.
First, she bought a cell phone from them, the salesman said that if the phone didn’t work in Mexico, then she could return it without any penalty. The phone didn’t work, they charged her $200 for breaching contract. As if that wasn’t bad enough, a year or two later, they forgot that she paid them, and tried to collect again. she had to order up some old bank statements to prove that she paid them. This not only took time, but the bank charges a few dollars for every month of back-logged statements.
Oh, it gets worse.
Another year or two passes, they decided that my mom still hasn’t paid them.. and they turn the debt over to a collection agency , and my mom paid them just to be done with it- the bank statements were long gone, she didn’t have may options.
So there you have it- stay away from Qwest.. stay far, far away!
